Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru – 6 Days
DAY 1
Airport to Hotel Nairobi
Drive Time: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Hotel in Nairobi — 1 to 1.5 hours (16 km / 10 miles)
Meals:  Lunch & Dinner – at the Hotel
Pick up from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive to the hotel in Nairobi, where you will spend the night. Dinner and overnight. In the morning, we get ready to drive as per the itinerary of the safari.

DAY 2
Nairobi to Masai Mara
Drive Time:  Nairobi to Masai Mara takes about 5.5 to 6 hours (284 km / 176.5 miles)
Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner – at the Lodge or Tented Camp.
Your tour starts with pick up at 7:30 AM from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and drive to Masai Mara. This drive will take about 5 to 6.5 hours with a scenic stopover at Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Masai Mara shortly after 12 pm, and check into your Lodge/Camp. Enjoy a hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon safari drive. After the safari drive, we head back to Lodge/Camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 pm, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. Overnight at your lodge.
Note: The last 1-hour drive to Masai Mara is on a bumpy road and may not be comfortable for clients with back problems. Clients with back problems can consider flying directly to and out of Masai Mara

DAY 3
Masai Mara
Drive Time: stay – flexible
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner – at the Lodge or Tented Camp
Today’s itinerary is flexible – you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening to plan for today’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart around 9:00 am for a full day safari drive around 9:00 am with a packed lunch and return to the lodge around 6:00 pm. Or you can depart at 6:00 am on an early morning safari drive (this is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness a hunt). You will return to your accommodation for breakfast and relaxation. Then depart on an afternoon safari drive with a packed lunch. You will stop at a picnic spot with your packed lunch and later depart on a safari drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 pm return to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Drive Time:  Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru takes about 5 to 5.5 hours (250 km / 155.3 miles)
Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner – at the Lodge or Tented Camp
Wake up early in the morning and have a short morning safari drive in Masai Mara. Return to Camp/Lodge for breakfast and around 10:00 am checkout, and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park which is about a 6.5 hours drive. Upon reaching Nakuru Lodge, check in, have dinner and relax for the day.
Note: Depending on your itinerary, the location of Lodge in Nakuru and plan for the next day (if going to Amboseli for example), we might skip morning safari drives in Masai Mara and proceed to Nakuru directly to reach by around 2:00 pm and do afternoon safari drives in Nakuru.

DAY 5
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Drive Time: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi takes about 3.5 to 4 hours (157 km / 97.5 miles)
Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner – at the Lodge or Tented Camp.
After breakfast, we proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with a packed lunch and do safari drives until around 2:00 pm and then proceed to Nairobi where, around 5:30 pm, we will reach your Hotel or the Nairobi airport.

DAY 6
Nairobi Hotel – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Drive Time: Hotel Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport — 1 to 1.5 hours (16 km / 10 miles)
Meals:  Breakfast
After breakfast we will prepare for the return to the airport. Check the documents, your visa and passport, etc.
